Who is Julia?

Hi, I´m Julia from the lovely Munich and I am a fulltime lifestyle, fashion and beauty blogger, a job I do with all my heart. Munich is the perfect place to do whatever you like. In the summertime you can go for a surf on the famous Eisbachwelle in the English Garden and in the wintertime, it takes just an hour to go to the Alps for snowboarding and skiing.

Where do you like to to go shopping?

I like to go to the Glockenbachviertel around the Gärtnerplatz. There you can find a lot of stylish and individual boutiques, concept and pop-up stores.

Munich is Bavaria at its best. The place to be for urban young fashionistas and also fans of a more traditional lifestyle.

1. Cafe Vorhoelzer (Cafe)
It´s a hidden rooftop bar at the Technical University of Munich with an awesome view over the whole city skyline. The drinks and food are fine and very cheap, because a lot of students come here to hang around and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Alps.

2. Schall und Rauch (Bar and Restaurant)
This is the perfect place to meet some friends even for an after-work drink or to warm-up for the nightlife. It´s located in the center of Munich’s famous hood called Schwabing with several bars and restaurants nearby.

3. Englischer Garten (Hotspot)
This artifically designed garden is an absolutely must-see for tourists and locals. You can watch the surfers on the Eisbachwelle, hang around at the Schwabinger Bach or go to one of the great beergardens like Chinesischer Turm or Seehaus.

4. Bayerischer Hof (Hotel/Spa)
This is a luxury hotel with a great rooftop spa. Also, a lot of celebrities stay here and enjoy their time in the pool, in the sauna or take a professional massage.

5. Heart (Bar & Restaurant & Club)
Here you can spend a whole night. Starting with culinary highlights and delicious drinks before the party gets started with the best DJs in town.

6. Pinakotheken (Art Gallery)
Munich has a huge art-quarter. You can find popular artists here like Andy Warhol and others.

7. Gloria Palast (Cinema)
This is much more than just a cinema. Exclusive design chairs and a luxury ambiance make every visit a special experience.

8. Oktoberfest (Event)
In Munich, the fifth season starts with Oktoberfest (also called “Wiesn”). More than 6 million people come to drink the special beer each year, from Germany and from all over the world. Traditional dresscode is the Drindl for ladies an Lederhosen for men.

9. Ammersee (Sightseeing)
Not far from the city center is the Ammersee, one of the most loved places in the area. Nice beaches and the fabulous panorama view make every visit feel like a holiday.

10. Olympiapark (Sightseeing)
The home of the Olympic Summer Games in 1972 was the Olympic Park. It´s still the center of sports, music festivals and a lot of other events. In the Olympic Tower you can find a fantastic restaurant.
