Pringle of Scotland is almost synonymous with luxury knitwear. Robert Pringle took the cozy casual fabric blend and gave it a fashionable makeover in 1815, when he founded the fashion brand. Initially producing hosiery and underwear, they employed the first knitwear designer in 1934. Otto Weisz supervised the creation of some of the most iconic pieces of the brand, including the twinset and Argyle pattern.
After focusing mainly on leisure and sportswear, the company decided to go back towards the high-fashion status it enjoyed, by exhibiting at London Fashion Week. Facing a speedy expansion and rise in the fashion ranks, the brand launched a luxury accessories range in 2007. See their latest activities on this Pringle of Scotland Brand Profile.
