As one of the most prestigious luxury jewellery brands in the world, Piaget has a very rich history behind it. Georges Edouard Piaget set up the first watch movement manufacturing workshop in 1874, on a farm in Switzerland's La Côte-aux-Fées. At the start of the 1900s, his soon took over the business and focused it on the creation of wrist watches. The success cam soon after, requiring an expansion of the factory, but still keeping the entire production line in the same initial location in the Jura mountains.
The house holds quite a few records to their name, like the thinnest automatic movement in the world (2.3mm) in Calibre 9P and the world's thinnest hand-wound mechanical watch - the Altipiano 900P, presented in 2014. The Polo watch and Emperador model are some of the most popular timepieces, but the brand has also successfully introduced jewellery to its portfolio. Keep up with their newest creations in this Piaget brand profile.
