From Norway to London with Style

Hedvig grew up in the far north of Norway where you can see the northern light during the whole winter. After studying maths she became a banker in Stockholm and in the City of London where she actually lives.

She decided to have a break and started her fabulous fashion blog "The Northern Light" where she shows us the beautiful things in life with her pure and elegant sense of style and in this way she adds a unique northern look to the colors and styles of London.

To my opinion Hedvig would be a perfect role model for the early collections of Helmut Lang or Jil Sander and brings back a special elegance and puristic look to the crowded sea of fashion blogs. Take a look at our selection by sliding throught the images below or visit Hedvig´s Northern Light. You will like her style too.

Spanish Fashion has always been something special - what started last century with magnificent creations by Cristóbal Balenciaga, Paco Rabanne or Manolo Blahnik for an exclusive clientele became a global fashion phenomenon with the rise of Spanish brands like Zara, Mango or Desigual.

Today Spanish streetfashion still has the elegance and style but of course is heavily influenced by the apparel giants named above. Our Trend Fashion Analysis for October 2011 is based on four of the most representative fashion bloggers for this special Spanish look. Our personal favourite Angela (Madame de Rosa, see below) shows a kind of alternative vintage look mixed with classic Spanish elements and colors while Kuka, Natalia and Jessie represent the modern Spanish look.

According to the TFA the Trend Colors are shades of Brown and Mustard, with some tones in Green and Old Rose. To see the complete Color Palette just visit the TFA Channel.

Colors of the streets of London

Wayne Tippetts runs the exceptional street style blog "Street Style Aesthetic" where he shows his images of trendsetting people on the streets of London and Paris. While many other street style photographers take images from models or fashionable people during fashionweeks and thus loose their originality his blog is one of the rare examples where you really find typical images of the fashion and trend scenes of these two major metropolises of European fashion. We appreciate that a lot and selected Wayne to become our color trendsetter for London in April and May 2011 and based our new Trend Fashion Analysis about London on his latest images.

Miss Pandora is one of the most succesful fashion bloggers in France although the attribute "fashion blogger" is not really the right expression. As she is writing a mémoire (dissertation) about the constraints in the transformation of the female silhouette in the 19th century you´ll see a lot of art and museum images on her site. We like the way she is creating a digital scrapbook of her artificial alter ego and mixing it up with some young and refreshing insights of art or as she says:" I’ve always been extremely timid and creating a character allows me to come out of myself. When I look at the blog, it isn’t me who I see. Let’s just say It’s some kind of “therapy”."

Rachel is a young photographer and model from Chicago. Her blog Jag Lever (which means "I live" in Swedish) is a personal photo diary of her daily life. We selected two recent photos out of a series documenting a beautiful warm day in April at Lake Michigan. The classic retro look is captured with a Canon rebel XTI, a film camera from the 80’s. Definitely Rachel got the great American style and we´ll appreciate to see more from her in the near future.

Chiara Ferragni from Milan runs her daily fashion diary under the brand name "The Blonde Salad". Within one year her blog became one of the leading private fashion blogs in Europe and Chiara is now one of the most inspiring fashionistas in Italy and beyond which has been confirmed by Bloglovin with the Newcomer of the Year Award. We have chosen her Prada inspired outfit she wore in Barcelona and analysed two of the key color hues for spring/summer 2011 with our TFA. Pink, Honeysuckle, rose mixed with azur, blue, indigo and cyan are definitely a key color mix for spring 2011.
